Three Card Poker is two great games combined into one — Pair plus and Ante — thus, offering 3 ways to bet and 4 ways for the player to beat the dealer.
Beginning Play
The player begins by anteing, after which he and the dealer each receive three cards.
Play Pair Plus
The player can also make a “Pair Plus” bet, which means that if his hand contains a pair or better, he wins. Of course, the player has to place Ante and Pair Plus bets before his cards are dealt to him.
Winning hands that have a Pair Plus and an ante bet wagered is forced to also place a Play bet. When the dealer doesn’t play, it results in a “push” and the ante wins even money.
Play Ante
The player can then make either a “Play” bet equal to the ante to stay in the hand, or fold and lose his ante. The player wagers both the ante and Play bets against the dealer’s hand. The dealer’s hand plays with a Queen high or better.
